Delivering complex river diversion works safely and efficiently is where experienced operators and the right plant make all the difference. We’re proud to have supported our client in successfully forming the new channel at Littleborough.
STEVE MORTON, DIG DIG UK
DIG DIG UK was proud to support our valued client with operational plant hire to support the river diversion and channel profiling works in Littleborough, delivering specialist excavation and earthworks to form a newly engineered watercourse as part of the wider site development.
The project involved the construction of a new diverted river channel, including large-scale excavation, shaping of the river corridor, and the installation of flow control structures. The works were carefully planned to ensure the new channel could be formed safely while maintaining environmental protection and preparing the site for future development phases.
By combining experienced operators with modern, high-performance excavators and specialist attachments, DIG DIG UK delivered precise bulk excavation and channel profiling across the site.
The team carefully excavated and shaped the new river alignment, working alongside installed sheet piling and newly constructed concrete structures to create the designed watercourse profile. The use of specialist plant and skilled operators ensured accurate formation of the channel bed and banks while maintaining control within a restricted working environment.
