Dig Dig UK is a small plant hire and ground works company which prides it self on the safety and versatility of its employees and the machines in which it hires out, whilst being aware of its environmental impact and in more recent years the co2 impact.
unlike most plant hire firms who buy standard machines, we wanted to stand out from the crowd by having the -
1. The safest plant (we fit many extras to help the operator and the ground men).
2. The most fuel efficient plant (at the time of production).
3. The most versatile plant (factory fitted and after sales extras).
4. The most technology (to assist the operator in 2d and 3d).
5. The operators are all CPCS blue card with multiple categories.
Dig Dig UK have taken this approach since 2009 when we invested in a zero swing with a blade option hitachi ZX135 and tilt-rotate.
We found that this combo cut our excavator working time in half!!! compared to a standard excavator,
half the wear and HALF THE FUEL consumption & sometimes you don't need a second machine at all.
Dig Dig UK latest machines have now gone up a few levels!
The main differences now are the 3 piece boom which has bought a whole new dimension to the excavator not only is it more stable when performing lifting duties as it has a lower centre of gravity, but it has 95% got rid of the need to swop the machine for a 8ton excavator if your a little short on room. Which in turn equals less lorry movement to and from site unnecessarily burning diesel, also lost down time with waiting for the machines to be swooped.
Standard safety options that are fitted: Prolec- height, weight, slew /safety interlock system/ 360 cameras/ deadman morning lights/ safty halo/motion alarm/ Extra bucket ram check valve/ seat green lamp/ amber warning lamp/ bio-oil and more!!
DUE TO THESE CHANGES WE HAVE FOUND THAT OUR EXCAVATORS AND PLANT ARE FIRST ON SITE AND LAST OFF SITE.
