CO2 Offset

Carbon Offsetting with Wildflowers

In the midst of facing a true global health pandemic, it is easy to forget that our planet has been facing its equivalent dilemma for a number of years. Anxiety and panic over high temperatures and the environment far precede the coronavirus outbreak.

One-way various industries – large and small – are looking to tackle climate change and, in particular, Co2 emissions (Co2e) is through Carbon offsetting.

On a single day in summer, one acre of wildflower meadow can contain 3 million flowers, producing 1 kg of nectar sugar. That's enough to support nearly 96,000 honey bees per day. Buy the end off 2021 Dig Dig UK is hoping to have 4250 Metre Sq with wild flowers.

Carbon Offsetting with Wildflowers

What is it?

Carbon offsetting is the action or process of compensating for Co2e arising from industrial or other human activity by participating in schemes designed to make equivalent reductions of Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere.

DIG DIG UK Wildflower CO2 Plan
at DIG DIG UK we are trailing with a 200 square meter piece of land our wildflower CO2 offset project.
One of our company values includes sustaining wildlife and bees in particular. We have decided as part of our CO2 Offset strategy for 2021/22 to use the wildflower route over forestry so that we can also help the bee population for future generations.
